If you have lost one tooth, several teeth or all of your teeth, dental implants can be used as a safe and cosmetic solution. A dental implant is an "anchor" that is made of titanium which is a light, hypoallergenic metal that is placed into the bone beneath the gum tissue. The implant serves as a root, onto which one or more teeth can be attached.
Implants are a durable, permanent restoration that have a very natural appearance. The implants can easily be cleaned and cared for in the same way that natural teeth or crowns and bridges are cared for. Implants are also conservative, because the adjacent teeth do not have to be harmed.
We have restored many patients' mouths to health since 1987. This is a rewarding procedure for everyone, and is a wonderful way for denture wearers to have a good solution to their esthetic and functional problems.

Teeth Whitening is a conservative, non-invasive technique to create a brighter, more appealing smile. Teeth often darken from age or from the use of tobacco, coffee, tea or juices. Bleaching is a fast, easy and predictable way to enhance your smile. We use 2 different methods for bleaching at our office: one technique is done at home and one is done in the office with the BriteSmile system.
Since 1990 we have been fabricating a custom tray to fit our patients' teeth that can be used at home for 2 to 3 weeks. One product can be used 2 times per day for 1/2 hour and one product can be used during sleep. Results are usually excellent with these methods and the color is stable for 1-2 years. These trays will continue to fit for many years, and new bleach material can always be used to "touch up" and enhance the result.
We also offer the BriteSmile technique. BriteSmile uses a safe light, with a wavelength specific, gentle bleaching gel to effectively whiten all of your teeth at once. The process usually takes from 2 to 2.5 hours in our office.
Both techniques work quite well. BriteSmile is wonderful for people who want immediate results. |

Porcelain Veneers enable us to attach a thin, hand crafted porcelain material to the fronts of teeth, to conservatively recreate a natural, beautiful smile. The natural tooth structure is preserved for strength, and teeth that are misaligned can be "straightened" to enhance your smile. Teeth that previously had antibiotic stain, or had dissimilar shapes and colors can be made to have a beautiful, even appearance.
The procedure usually takes 2 weeks from start to finish and offers a relatively simple and inexpensive cosmetic solution. The veneers are resistant to staining, reflect light like natural teeth, and are durable.

For most fillings on back teeth we use a natural looking, cosmetic resin. This is a strong, plastic material that is easy to apply and difficult to detect. This material produces a long lasting, natural looking filling.
When the size of a cavity is too large for this material, we are then able to use ceramic, tooth colored partial crowns called onlays. These onlays are made in 2 visits to the office and are also a durable, cosmetic solution. |

Our orthodontist, Dr. Alexis K. Fermanis, treats both children and adults. She uses the latest techniques, including Invisalign for adults, which are removeable trays which can move teeth without wire and brackets. Conventional braces, with either clear or metal brackets, are also used. |

Root canals can prevent tooth decay and loss when there is damage to the soft core of the tooth (the pulp). Despite its reputation as a painful ordeal, a root canal is actually not very uncomfortable. During the procedure, the damaged pulp is removed, the root canal is cleaned and sealed off, and a crown is bonded to the tooth to maintain strength. |
